 Important

 
Works to carry out bank stabilisation will result in the closure of Eastbridge road in phases northwards from the level crossing in Dymchurch. While active, the closure will persist overnight. It is currently planned from Monday 1 March 2021 with estimated completion by 21 May 2021. It will not be closed for the entire period and the exact timing of closures cannot be predicted today.  
The work is shown here 
and while it gives no useful additional information at this time may be worth bookmarking for future reference. If you use this route regularly keep your eye open for updates. The Kent County Council Highway Helpline phone number is 03000 418181 – please ask for Road & Footway Asset Team

Avian Influenza Prevention Zone declared - 11 November 2020

NEW HOUSING MEASURES COME INTO FORCE ON 14TH DECEMBER

In response to the heightened risk of H5N8 highly pathogenic avian influenza, an Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) has been declared in England, Scotland and Wales. It introduces additional biosecurity measures for all poultry and captive bird keepers to protect them from the risk from wild birds. The measures apply to all poultry keepers (including game) whether you keep birds commercially or as pets. Further details, including the measures that apply in the AIPZ, can be found at GOV.​UK:
