In the 1950’s the Newchurch Players put on a variety of shows and pantomimes as can be seen from the the photographs below.

Cinderella put on by Newchurch Players in Old School Newchurch in 1953 which was reviewed in the newspaper at the time:

"A lavish production" was the comment of many who went to the pantomime "Cinderella" produced by Mrs Bradwell at the Village Hall.  The highlight of the show was Cinderella's coach specially made by Mr. G Nye, of Dover.  The part of "Cinders" was taken by Dawn Sands and Prince Charming was portrayed by Joan Bolt.  Other local children taking part were Diana Martin, Jane Huddart, Mary Burden, John Burden, Daisy Lukehurst, Jennifer Homewood, Margaret Burden, Peter Martin, Angela Homewood, Miana Martin, Andrea Martin, Jean Homewood, Ann Jennings, Marion Shorter.
